Who ARE WE?

This website is dedicated to my journey as a school based SLP who was suddenly thrust into the digital world (thank you Coronavirus).  Seeking the most effective digital service delivery, I spent hours upon hours attempting to assimilate what digital materials would best serve my students. I signed up for Boom Learning, Seesaw, iSpring, LessonPix, and purchased several items from Teachers Pay Teachers. I watched videos and completed trainings on everything from Google Classroom, Slides, and Forms to EdPuzzle, Loom, Zoom, and Power Point, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. 

Even today, questions still loom about about ethics surrounding group therapy, privacy, medicaid billing and more. What do we school-based speech therapists do? What is expected of us? And most importantly, what is the research showing?

This website and blog is dedicated to be a central spot from which you can access the best of the digital web for speech therapy services. This is a site about community and working together.

You will find that I will also occasionally provide information on finding a work/life balance as I lost that balance when I began my quest. Fortunately, two of my children are doing their college studies from home and they turned my family room into their gym which motivated me to get off the couch!

I sincerely hope you find the information posted here helpful, time saving and life enhancing. Feel free to post any questions and I will try to answer them as I can.
